Been a while

Thu Oct 8, 2009, 11:31 PM
Hi everyone. just thought i'd drop a line since I haven't in a while. What's new.... umm... i'm currently inking two mini series for IDW. I'm inking a 5 issue Transformers series called Last Stand of the Wreckers that starts in Janurary. The other is a mini series called Vitriol the Hunter, which was created and is penciled by Billy Martin from the band Good Charlotte, and it starts in Febuary. So far they are both fun to work on, but i'm sure will start to get hectic later on.

I've got a couple of people doing character sketches for Limelight, my creator owned series. My first choice penciller had to pull out because of scheduling so after crying my eyes out for a few days (really, i'm not kidding) ;) the search went on. It's looking good though for it to see light later next year.

that's it i guess MODERN WARFARE 2 Nov 10th!!!!!!!!!!

What blows me away is that Waki put a whole paragraph together and it made sense. Limelight sounds cool, but I'll let him tell you about it. He's putting a lot of work into it.

Dude, you can jump up and down and throw twinkys at random passers by if you want. I've seen how excited you are about that book and all the work you are putting into it. I hope you find the right penciler for it soon.

best

it's my creator owned idea about a band and their day to day troubles and joys. there's pics in my section of the website, and in my gallery here on DA if you want to look

I had not heard of this. The art looks good. Is this based on a band you know, or is it total from scratch?

i kind of know them. they're my band in ROCK BAND. lol created the guitarist for the first Rock Band as a playable character, then in May '08 when RB2 came out created her sister, and the rest of the band while playing. i'll send you the character write ups i give the artists.

I don't find that to funny. I am working up a story idea based on the characters I created in City of Heroes, back when I was playing. The story doesn't have a name yet, but I am looking to make it along the lines of Astro City.

Personally, I think video games (like MMOs and character creation games) are great ways to build ideas for future work. When I was playing City of Heroes my favorite part of the game was creating characters. Even back in the early days of high school as a dorky (cause that has changed a lot, LOL) kid, when I was playing RPGs, my favorite part of the game was making the characters, fleshing them out, giving them back stories and families. That was the cool part.

Congrats on the TF work at IDW. You're perfect for that stuff. I liked the sample I saw so far.
